🎶 Dr. Zaslaw is the editor of the Köchel-Verzeichnis 2024, published by Breitkopf & Härtel. In this presentation, he will share insights from the 30-year process behind the monumental project of compiling the new Köchel-Verzeichnis. A brief Q&A session will follow.

The Canadian Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (CAML) invites the submission of proposals for its 2025 virtual conference.

The conference and AGM will be held May 13 and 14, 2025. The theme of this year's conference is Shaping the Future: Music Stewardship, Advocacy, Technology, and we welcome proposals that explore the following ideas, or otherwise align with the conference theme:
· Reconciliation in Music Archives

· Changing Practices in Cataloguing and Metadata

· The Role of AI in the Changing Work of Music Libraries

· Beyond Music and Sound: Expanding definitions

· The Intersection of Born-Digital Music and Digital Preservation

· Print in a Digital Age: Coexistence or Obsolescence?

· OMR and MEI: Technologies Shaping the Future of Music Archives

· The Changing Landscape of Music Libraries and Documentation Centres

· Interdisciplinary Futures: Collaborations Beyond Music Libraries

· Building Bridges Between Practice and Research

· Other future possibilities?


Presentations should not exceed 20 minutes and will be followed by a 10-minute question and discussion period. Proposals should include a 250-word abstract and a biographical sketch of no more than 100 words. Proposals for sessions, roundtables, and plenaries are also welcome.

L’Association canadienne des bibliothèques, archives et centres de documentation musicaux (l’ACBM) invite la soumission de propositions pour sa conférence virtuelle 2025.

La conférence et l’AGA, qui se tiendront les 13 et 14 mai 2025. Le thème conférence de cette année est Façonner l'avenir : Intendance de la musique, défense des droits, technologie, et nous accueillons favorablement les propositions qui explorent les idées suivantes ou qui s'alignent sur le thème de la conférence :
· Réconciliation dans les archives musicales

· Évolution des pratiques en matière de catalogage et de métadonnées

· Le rôle de l'IA dans l'évolution du travail des bibliothèques musicales

· Au-delà de la musique et du son : Élargir les définitions

· L'intersection de la musique née numérique et de la conservation numérique

· L'imprimé à l'ère du numérique : Coexistence ou obsolescence ?

· OMR et MEI : Les technologies qui façonnent l'avenir des archives musicales

· L'évolution du paysage des bibliothèques musicales et des centres de documentation

· Futurs interdisciplinaires : Collaborations au-delà des bibliothèques musicales

· Jeter des ponts entre la pratique et la recherche

· Autres possibilités d'avenir ?


Les présentations ne doivent pas dépasser 20 minutes et seront suivies d'une période de questions et de discussion de 10 minutes. Les propositions doivent inclure un résumé de 250 mots et une notice biographique de 100 mots maximum. Les propositions de séances, tables rondes et plénières sont également bienvenues.
