Big housing news for Parkdale!

Today we announced that we’re investing in 175 new affordable and rental apartments in a project on Queen Street West being delivered by the Parkdale Neighbourhood Land Trust.

It’s part of a landmark agreement with Toronto announced today by Prime Minister Mark Carney that will deliver 5,600 new purpose-built rental homes across the city.

Our team has been advocating for this project for many months with Housing Minister Gregor Robertson, and it’s exciting to see it becoming a reality. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

It was great to join the SEIU Healthcare Union Day BBQ at Runnymede Health Centre and spend time with the dedicated healthcare workers who serve so many residents of Taiaiako’n–Parkdale–High Park every day.
