Just a reminder that the Fisher Library will be closed for three weeks beginning next Monday, August 17, in order for staff to prepare for the upcoming academic year. We will reopen on Tuesday September 8. Please enjoy the rest of your summer and we'll see you again in September.

This is a reminder that is the final week to view the library's current exhibition, "Popular Culture in Early Modern English Household Print, 1660-1800" featuring print materials of household manuals, religious works, and light entertainment. There's one last free curator-led tour this Thursday, August 13, so why not join us for that? The tour begins at 5pm in our main exhibition area. There's no need to register. No RSVP Required! Simply come to the Fisher exhibition area at 5 pm sharp. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes.

Please come to the library tomorrow (March 24) when we are holding a special Passover Haggadot Open House. It will feature a display of beautiful and rare Pesach (Passover) Haggadot, including early printed books, Kibbutz and secular Haggadot, artists' Haggadot, as well as satirical Haggadot.

The open house begins at 12:30pm and runs until 4:45pm.

This event is free and open to the public.

There are still some open spots left for the Fisher's last workshop of the academic year this Thursday (March 19) on Introduction to Jewish Book History. The workshop, led by Jewish Studies Librarian Nadav Sharon, begins at 6pm and runs for 90 minutes.

Today (Thursday March 12)! A free tour of the library's current exhibition, Arctic Fever: Image and Narrative in North Circumpolar Voyaging of the Long Nineteenth Century. The tour will begin at 6pm and will be led by curator Mark A. Cheetham. There's no need to register. Bring your curiosity and your questions!
