Bees pollinate our crops and many wild plants that feed our terrestrial ecosystem. 🌱

The GTA alone has over 350 native species of bees, but urbanization and habitat fragmentation threatens our bee populations. 🐝

In an effort to conserve bee biodiversity, join the UTSC Parks Canada Club and our very own Professor Scott MacIvor as we build and refurbish nesting structures for urban bees, BEE HOTELS!

Meet us at the HW patio from 12-2pm on Friday March 3rd. Register with the link in our bio 🔗

Food will be served 🍕

As part of Sustainability Week, UTSC Parks Canada in collaboration with The Mental Unity Group is holding an Outdoor Healing Walk at the UTSC Valley on Monday October 17th at 4:30pm-6:00pm. Join us for an evening to enjoy nature and hot chocolate, as we explore a multidimensional approach to decolonizing health with a guided walk on edible plants in the valley, leading into a share circle at Miller lash to explore the relationship between the outdoors and mental health.

🍂This is a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy some snacks and have a great time before the busy midterm season. Make sure to dress warmly and bring a picnic blanket if possible. 🍂
