Ben-Gurion University Canada BGU Canada is the Canadian fundraising arm of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

We support the vision of Israel’s 1st Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, who said “It is in the Negev that the creativity and pioneer vigour of Israel shall be tested.” Canadian Associates of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (CABGU) plays a vital role in sustaining David Ben-Gurion's vision of creating a world-class institution of education and research in the Israeli desert, nurturing the Negev community and sharing the University's expertise locally and around the globe.

🇮🇱 The future of AI is taking shape in Israel. And Ben-Gurion University is at the heart of the conversation.

More than 700 researchers, industry professionals and students gathered at BGU for a national conference exploring the future of computer science in the age of artificial intelligence.

The event marked the first anniversary of BGU’s Stein Faculty of Computer and Information Science and the launch of the Israeli Computer Science Association.

Three years later, we remember the eight Canadian lives stolen on October 7.

Eight lives. Eight families forever changed. Eight stories that must never be forgotten.

Today, we honour their memories and stand with all those who continue to carry the grief of that day.

May their memories be a blessing. 🕯️

They came to celebrate life. To dance. To be free.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists turned the Nova Music Festival into a massacre.

Young lives were stolen. Families were shattered. Futures were erased.

Three years later, we remember their faces, their names, and the lives they should still be living.

They were not just victims. They were sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and friends.

May their memories forever be a blessing. 🕯️
