St. Georgeβs, GrenadaβPrime Minister, Honourrable Dickon Mitchel will travel to Canada on Wednesday, 3 June 2026 for an official visit.
He will be accompanied by the Hon. Philip Telesford, Minister for Health, along with other government officials.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will engage in high-level bilateral discussions with the The Right Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, focusing on matters of mutual interests.
In addition to official engagements, the Prime Minister will meet with the founder of Global Relations at HUD Energy.
The meeting will centre on HUD Energyβs proposed Grenada-based southern Caribbean regional tire recycling and resource recovery initiative. Discussions will explore opportunities to convert waste into commercially viable products, supporting Grenadaβs environmental sustainability goals, generating employment, and strengthening the countryβs position as a regional leader in innovative recycling solutions.
While in Canada, the Prime Minister will also participate in a Town Hall Meeting in Montreal, providing an opportunity for direct engagement with nationals residing there. Discussions at the Town Hall Meeting will also span Project Polaris, among other national development priorities of interest including Diaspora Homecoming.
Additional engagements with members of the Grenadian Diaspora are scheduled to take place in Toronto.
The Government of Grenada looks forward to the outcomes of this visit, which is expected to strengthen diplomatic relations, promote sustainable development initiatives, and deepen engagement with Grenadians living overseas.
Hon. Dennis Cornwall will act as Prime Minister in the absence of Hon. Dickon Mitchell until his return to state on Sunday June 7, 2026.
