Lifeguards at City of Toronto beaches are off duty for the season and will return Summer 2027.

Back-to-school season is here, and soon Toronto's school zones will once again be buzzing with students excited to start a new school year. 📚🎒🚸

As summer comes to an end, we'll begin seeing more children travelling through school zones. Some will be walking to a new school, some cycling a new route, and many will be focused on the excitement of the day ahead.

It's a good reminder for drivers to take extra care in school zones and stay alert for Toronto's youngest road users. Always remember to:
🚸 Slow down in school zones
🚸 Stay alert for children crossing
🚸 Stop for school buses with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm
🚸 Yield to pedestrians and watch for people cycling when turning

Eastbound lane restrictions will be in effect on Lake Shore Blvd between Ontario Dr and Strachan Ave for events at RBC Amphitheatre on:
September 8
5:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
The curb (right) lane will be reserved for event pick-up and drop-off access. Plan ahead and give yourself extra time to get around.

Election signs must be removed 72 hours after the election. But don’t worry, you can drop them off for proper disposal at 3 Drop-Off Depots: Bermondsey, Commissioners and Scarborough.

Note: Drop-off Depots are closed on September 7.

Scarlett Woods Golf Course is open for a modified 9 holes.
