PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN TORONTO HOLDS TWO-DAY CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION IN LONDON, ONTARIO
27 May 2026 – A team from the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto led by Consul Katrina Isabelle Borja-Martin conducted a two-day outreach mission at the Holiday Inn & Suites London South on 23-24 May 2026.
The team rendered a total of 306 consular services, including ePassport processing, notarization, civil registration, and dual citizenship application, to members of the community in London and other neighboring cities and municipalities. Seventeen (17) former Filipinos took their oath of allegiance to retain/reacquire their Filipino citizenship under Republic Act 9225.
The team also conducted mobile overseas voter (OV) registration, providing OV-related services to 109 of the clients that came.
The Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Toronto and SSS Representative provided assistance to 61 Overseas Filipino Workers and 84 SSS members on their concerns.
London is home to an estimated 6,365 Filipinos. The visit is the second such mission to the southwestern Ontario city and is part of the Philippine Consulate General’s continuing efforts to bring its services closer to Filipino communities in Ontario and Manitoba. It was organized with the support of Filipino community volunteers from London and neighboring St. Thomas, including officers of the Filipino-Canadian Association of London and District (FCALD).
The Philippine Consulate General will have its next outreach missions in Winnipeg, MB (19-20 June), Portage la Prairie, MB (21 June), and Thunder Bay, ON (27 June). END
