This March, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the CEIU Ontario Regional Women’s Committee came together with one shared purpose: to uplift, support, and highlight the incredible women across Ontario 💜
As a Committee, we reflected on how important it is to recognize all the women doing this work—not just at the regional level, but within every local. Many locals may not always have the financial means to attend larger events, but that does not take away from the powerful impact they are making in their own spaces.
We were proud to connect with and highlight the efforts of locals across the province, including those in Belleville, who made meaningful contributions to celebrating and uplifting women in their communities.
These photos represent just that—the strength and creativity of our locals as they celebrated International Women’s Day across Ontario. This is about them, their efforts, and their commitment to uplifting women in their communities.
Throughout the month, the Committee:
✨ Participated in the Toronto International Women’s Day March
✨ Attended the Mary Spratt Breakfast
✨ Joined a women’s brunch in Peel
✨ Visited and connected with members across multiple locals
✨ Supported and assisted local Women’s Committees in their initiatives
✨Engaged in domestic Violence training
✨Engaged in CEIU National Women’s Committee initiatives
Our Chair, Karen Spencer-Cousins, continues to engage with various locals across the region to promote and encourage the establishment of Women’s Representatives and Women’s Committees at all locals.
This is what solidarity looks like. Women supporting women. Locals uplifting locals. A collective movement that continues to grow stronger every day.
This is all about you—everyone who showed up, organized, supported, and made a difference. Thank you to all women across Ontario for your strength, your leadership, and your commitment to uplifting one another 💪🏾💜
