Applications are now open for our Youth Ambassador Program! 💙

We’re looking for young people who are passionate about making a difference in their schools and communities and are ready to grow as leaders.

Through the program, Youth Ambassadors will build skills in restorative practices, anti-oppression, facilitation and leadership while receiving mentorship and support to develop and lead an initiative in their school community.
We believe young people should have meaningful opportunities to lead, share their perspectives and create change in the spaces they are part of. 🌱

Applications are open to high school students ages 14–18 and close Monday, September 7 at 5:00 PM.
Youth Ambassadors will receive three $500 honorariums throughout the program.

A big congratulations to our BSSLP placement students, Fouad and Sienna, on officially completing their summer placements with Peacebuilders! 🎉🩵

Over the past several weeks, they’ve brought their energy, creativity, leadership, and unique perspectives to our team, and we’ve truly loved having them with us.
We’re grateful for our continued partnership with the TDSB Black Student Summer Leadership Program and for the opportunity to support Black youth as they gain meaningful paid work experience, build new skills, and grow as leaders.

Congratulations on completing your placements! We can’t wait to see where you go next. 🌱✨

We asked our Youth Ambassadors “If they could describe this summer in one word, what would it be?”. Here’s what they had to say!

We honour his life.

David Clayton-Thomas - legendary voice, beloved friend and one of the most generous champions this organization has ever known - has passed away.

He never forgot where he came from. A young person once caught in the justice system, he spent decades making sure other youth wouldn’t have to face it alone. He wrote songs for us. He showed up for us. He believed in this work with everything he had.

We are forever grateful. Rest well, David. 🕊️
