-F Echelon-

The fighting squadron (or F echelon) are the damage dealers of the armoured regiment, consisting of the frontline armoured vehicles that engage with and destroy the enemy on the battlefield.

Crews from the GGHG, along with participants from the Queen's York Rangers and Ontario Regiment, were successfully evaluated on their ability to effectively crew command their vehicles during EX: CAMP WORTHY 2026.

-ECHELON-

During EX: CAMP WORTHY 2026, GGHG crews practiced their rapid replenishment skills via the squadron echelon. The echelon is a key support component of any armoured squadron, sustaining it through logistics, medical and maintenance support, allowing the fighting element to remain operational.

GGHG soldiers receive training on the fundamentals of Close Quarter Battle (CQB), by learning how to move, shoot and communicate in interior areas as pairs or in groups of 4-5. This kind of training prepares them to operate in cohesion with infantry in dismounted settings.
