Neighbours Community Homes

On July 31, Neighbours Community Homes celebrated the groundbreaking of our new 14-storey, 108-home building at 1117 Danforth Avenue.

The building will include affordable, rent-controlled and rental replacement homes, creating an inclusive, mixed-income community for current and future Neighbours tenants.

Thank you to the City of Toronto, Woodbourne and everyone who helped bring this project forward. We also appreciate Mayor Olivia Chow and Councillor Paula Fletcher for joining us to mark this important milestone.

Construction is now underway, with occupancy expected in 2029.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Gathering yesterday! It was wonderful to see our Neighbours community come together, enjoy the sunshine, share some laughs, and spend time with one another. We are grateful to everyone who helped make the day so special.

Happy ! As we mark July 1, we celebrate the people and communities that make Canada a welcoming place to call home. We also recognize that too many people still don’t have a place to call home. Together, we can build a future where everyone has safe and secure housing.
