Abrigo is pleased to share that during the six weeks of our income tax clinic ending on April 30, our agency successfully filed 812 tax returns for our clients. This was a wonderful achievement that reflects the dedication and collaboration across our entire organization.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their financial support which played a key role in making this clinic such a success. As well, a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the clinic. Their energy, enthusiasm, and commitment made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many people we serve.
From booking appointments to welcoming clients, from intake to filing, this was truly a team effort. Our staff, students, and volunteers worked seamlessly together to support clients not only by filing their taxes, but by helping ensure they remain eligible for vital programs and benefits such as rent subsidies, CRA credits, the Canada Dental Plan, supplements, allowances, the Canada Child Benefit, the Canada Disability Benefit, and many others.
This clinic highlighted the passion and commitment we all share in serving our community. It was our pleasure to be part of such a collaborative and impactful effort!
