While the western Monarch population count was low this year, it looks like eastern populations have increased!

“Some good news on this chilly day! A recent report on the eastern monarch population found that their numbers have increased from 2.48 ha to 6.05 ha on their wintering grounds in Mexico. That's an increase of 144% from the previous season!”
