Mary Oliver has such a lovely way of speaking from the heart

The dead are not gone; we’ve just forgotten how to connect with them.

If something still feels unresolved for you, for your dead loved one, or for the relationship between you.

You’re curious if healing is possible, even after someone has died.

Holding Vigil on 9\11 with Marianne Williamson and Deepak Chopra. Here's the story Three friends who met on a Coaching teleclass decided to meet in person and chose an upcoming event in Detroit, September 11, 2001. Tickets were purchased, CJ was flying in from Minnesota, I was driving from Toronto and Grethel lived in Detroit. On the morning of 9\11, once I was able to speak with my brother who lived in NYC and know he was safe, I set out. CJ had boarded her plane before anyone knew what was going to take place, she was on her way. When I arrived to the Windsor/Detroit border, there were no cars in sight. It was very eerie and I hesitated, earlier that morning, the border had been closed and now was open. I felt compelled to keep going. Once we were all together, the 3 of us set out for the Event, not knowing what we would find. The theatre was half full of people and Marianne and Deepak immediately led us in a Vigil for the tremendous loss of lives and for the families and friends who lost them. If you have a 9\11 memory you would like to share, please do.....

My Mom's death anniversary was August 31. She loved to celebrate important events in our family, here we are at Easter, smiles all around. I'm grateful to have inherited her gift of celebrating moments in life with those we love. Thank you for this legacy Mom 💛

What happens when total strangers gather to talk about death? Magic, honestly. ✨

Last week, I had the pleasure of facilitating a Death Cafe at the TPL Walter Stewart branch. We held space for what was on everyone's minds and hearts regarding dying and grief.

It might sound heavy, but these conversations always find a way to invigorate us and bring us closer together. Thank you to the Library and everyone who came out and shared so vulnerably 💛

YOUR PRESENCE IS THE PRESENT. Happy Sunday, I'm preparing for my weekly Hospice Reiki visit by being rested, grounded, calm and open-hearted. This type of presence is what is required to be able to witness deep emotional pain with others. It is a gift for both my client and myself to spend this time together

Excited to share our second lecture at the Kimel Family Centre-Baycrest, in partnership with the Home Hospice Association!
Our focus was on Living and Dying Well, and we drew beautiful inspiration from Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie (and loved being able to give away a copy to a member of our community!).
Morrie’s final thesis was simple: facing our mortality is actually the key to living a more meaningful life.
But how do we actually navigate that path?
As an end-of-life doula with a background in holistic coaching, this is exactly where my work begins. While a traditional healthcare system focuses on the physical illness, a holistic doula looks at the whole person. By combining coaching tools with compassionate end-of-life care, I help individuals:
• Navigate the emotional and spiritual transitions of aging and illness.
• Process fears and find deep, intentional peace.
• Co-create a legacy plan that honors how they want to live and how they want to be remembered.
It is a privilege to bring this holistic approach to our community. Thank you to everyone who came out to listen, share, and reframe how we talk about life's final chapter. 🤍

Last Thursday, I had the honor of delivering Part 1 of a 4-lecture series at the Kimel Family Centre - Baycrest, in a wonderful partnership with the Home Hospice Association.
Our core message was simple yet profound: helping individuals and their family & friends navigate end-of-life mindfully, can bring greater meaning to the journey.
