The Willowdale Young Liberals are extremely saddened by the death of a fellow young liberal and dear friend to many, Reese Fallon. It is a time to grieve but also to celebrate the life of Reese and the many lives she touched. She will be dearly missed by the young liberal family. As we go forward into the future, we will always remember Reese and her optimism and passion for politics and life and carry her legacy in our hearts forever.

The premier emphasized that no one in Ontario should struggle to access mental health or addictions care for themselves or their loved ones. Further details will be announced next week during the budget.

All 3 candidates for the Ontario Conservative leadership have announced they don't support a carbon tax. Their party platform, if you can call it that, now has to cut $16 billion from schools, hospitals and public services to meet its promises.

So not only is the party ready to eschew our global responsibility to fight climate change, they're going to do so at the expanse of our children, seniors and move vulnerable.

All three Progressive Conservative leadership candidates have abandoned the carbon tax that generates the revenues to pay for promises in the party’s People’s Guarantee platform.

Thank you, Premier Kathleen Wynne, for standing up for Ontario workers.

I agree that open procurement and free trade are important, but so too is ensuring Ontario workers get a fair shake. As the Premier said, "When the well-being of our workers is threatened, I will stand up for them by whatever means necessary. Every time."

Unlike the Tories, who have no plan to protect and support Ontario workers, Premier Wynne is taking action.

She is introducing a bill on Feb. 20 that will protect our workers, here in Ontario, if states like New York and Texas pass "Buy American" laws. Her bill would ensure any state that passes such legislation, would face the exact same consequences when trying to enter Ontario's market. Seems fair.

Speaking in Washington Tuesday, Premier Kathleen Wynne said Ontario would respond in a “proportional” way if it is not granted a last-minute exemption to New York’s law, which will deny Canadian firms access to some state infrastructure contracts.

An incredible honour to join Premier Kathleen Wynne on her trade mission to South Korea with Minister of Economic Development & Growth Brad Duguid, along with a delegation of representatives from the Korean-Canadian community.

This mission is a good opportunity to strengthen the Ontario-Korea relationship, build new business partnerships and create new economic opportunities.
