Meet Sam: After arriving in Canada as a refugee, Sam faced an uncertain future. With support and a safe place to turn, he was able to continue his education and pursue his goal of becoming a mechanic. We can’t wait to see where his journey takes him!

Meet Gem: With determination and the support of our community, Gem overcame significant challenges to finish high school and is now working toward her dream of becoming a teacher. We’re so proud of her journey and excited for all that’s ahead!

Help Us Make The Bridge House a Home! We’re preparing our new transitional home for youth and are looking for essential household items to help create a warm, comfortable and welcoming space.
We are currently in need of new or gently used:
3 twin-size (single) beds and mattresses
3 sets of twin-size sheets and comforters
3 bedside tables
1 sofa and/or loveseat
Tableware (cups, mugs, plates and bowls)
Pots & pans
Cutlery
Thank you, as always, for helping us create not just a house, but a home for youth who deserve a safe and supportive place to begin their next chapter.

A heartfelt thank you to the Aston Family Foundation for supporting our youth with Equine Therapy at for the second year in a row. Because of your generosity, our youth had the opportunity to connect with horses, spend a night at Haliburton Forest, explore the great outdoors, visit a hatchery, and finish the adventure with some well-deserved time at the beach.

These experiences create moments of connection, confidence, joy, and memories that our youth can carry with them long after the trip is over. We are so, so grateful to Jim and Barb Aston and the Aston Family Foundation for continuing to believe in our youth and making experiences like these possible. Thank you for helping us create opportunities to heal, explore, connect, and thrive.

Horizons for Youth is seeking new or refurbished laptop donations to help bridge the digital divide for our youth. Access to technology is critical for our residents to complete education, apply for employment, attend virtual appointments, develop digital literacy skills, and work toward independent living. Donated laptops provide youth with the tools they need to build brighter futures.
