باحترام عرض آداب دوستان عزیز،
قسمیکه همه شما در جریان هستید دولت کانادا چند قبل پیش یک برنامه ای را تحت عنوان (Special program to sponsor Afghan refugees without refugee status from the UNHCR or a foreign state) براه انداخته بودند. متاسفانه این پروگرام صرف برای ۳۰۰۰ افراد بودند که بسیار یک تعداد محدود و در حین حال در مدت زمان این برنامه را بستند. بسیاری از افغان‌ها در بسیاری از کشور ها مخصوصا پاکستان و هندوستان و تاجیکستان و ترکیه بدون کدام اسناد از دفتر بین الملل و در یک زندگی بی سرنوشت بسر میبرند. این (Petition) برای پرسیدن از دولت کانادا برای وسعت ساختن این برنامه ایجاد گردیده است. لطفاً این پتیشن را امضا و با دیگران شریک سازید تا باشد چندین فامیل دیگر را هم کمک کرده باشیم.

Afghan refugees are one of the most persecuted and vulnerable groups of people in the world. They have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict and persecution, and many have ended up living in exile in neighbouring countries or further afield.

After the Taliban took over Afghanistan it become worse, however, the situation for Afghan refugees has become increasingly desperate. They are being forcibly deported from countries such as Tajikistan, Turkey and Iran, often facing abuse, violence and exploitation upon their return. In some cases, they have even been killed.

A Tajikistani government official reportedly demanded up to $5,000 USD per person from Afghan refugees as a "bribe" to prevent their deportations.

It's a pity that Tajikistan official makes use of this unfortunate situation for its own benefit and Tajikistan government doing nothing.

Afghan Refugee situation in Tajikistan is getting worse day by day. Unfortunately, the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) is not doing everything possible enough. The UN should do more to protect Afghan refugees

The International Community needs to be aware that if they don't help Afghan refugees soon there will be no safe place left on this planet for us.

What Happened to Our Vote?

The people of Afghanistan voted and they voted for what they believed in their hearts were the best candidates for improving the lives of the Afghan men, women and children. They voted for peace-makers and people of higher wisdom and knowledge. They voted for security, harmony, peace, stability, equality, and modernization. They however did not vote for their children to die every minute in a bomb blast, they did not vote for more instability, more su***de attacks or misuse of power. The people granted you, your power and authority so that you provide them in return what they have been wanting and waiting for, for the last 30 years of civil war, Peace. They did not vote for you to sale off their mothers, sisters and children, to sale off the country to people that do not know or remember the suffering of 30 years. They did not vote so that you can join hands and become brothers with the Taliban or insurgents. The promises that were made yesterday were left undelivered today. Once in power, you have betrayed the people of your soil and have misused the power bestowed to you by them. Today, after years of cold war the people can no longer look up to you. The same people that took the risk upon themselves to put you in the seat of power in which you sit on so comfortably today. Their risk was only taken so that their husband, wife, children, mother, father, brother and sisters would not die. However, it is unfortunate to say that you were unable to deliver back on the trust the people of Afghanistan had for you. Today, when you are in power, more than ever, everyday a new child of this country dies. Blood is shed in every street, every day. The streets are no longer safe to walk on, your government is no longer trustworthy. Power, was not granted so that you only provide security and improvement to your own personal life. While you add another security officer to protect you, one child dies. If you are to call upon other nations to assist you and assistance is not received, you were to turn to your people to assist you. If you join hands with the killers of the country then the people can no longer stand by your side. However, if there is nothing you are afraid of, then you can count on your Nation. Call on your Nation, Call onto your brave brothers and sisters of Afghanistan. Together work on a solution, together save the children of Afghanistan from despair. But, never play with the lives and the future of this Nation & its People. ..

No one can play with our lives for it is in our own hands. Do not test the strength of the war-thorn people of Afghanistan. You may be able to fool the rest of the world but not the people of this country. Your reports can fool the West but not the East. From the 100% crime rate in Afghanistan if you and the Media only report 2% to the rest of the world, it will never change the reality and the truth.

Afghan presidential contenders sign unity deal
A deal to form a government of national unity in Afghanistan has been signed at a ceremony in Kabul.

The signing comes after months of wrangling following presidential elections in April and June.

Under the deal, Ashraf Ghani becomes president while runner-up Abdullah Abdullah nominates a CEO with powers similar to those of prime minister.

Later, the election commission declared Mr Ghani as winner of the bitterly fought poll.

"The Independent Election Commission declares Ashraf Ghani as the president, and thus announces the end of election process," commission chief Ahmad Yousaf Nuristani said without declaring the number of votes for each candidate or the turnout figures.

Both sides had accused the other of fraud following the election and the months of uncertainty have damaged the economy and worsened insecurity.

Mr Ghani and Mr Abdullah signed the agreement at a televised ceremony inside the presidential palace in the capital, Kabul. They then stood and embraced each other.

Outgoing Afghan President Hamid Karzai congratulated the two men, saying that the agreement was "for the progress and development of this country".

"On behalf of the Afghan nation, I am congratulating them on this understanding and agreement," he said in his speech.

The US hailed the deal as an "important opportunity for unity".

"We support this agreement and stand ready to work with the next administration to ensure its success," White House spokesman Josh Earnest said.

The power-sharing deal was finally reached after a comprehensive audit of all eight million votes, brokered by US Secretary of State John Kerry.

BBC Afghanistan correspondent David Loyn, who has seen a copy of the agreement, says it averts potential violence by supporters of Mr Abdullah.

The agreement says the new CEO will be answerable to Mr Ghani, although he has lost a battle to be sworn in after the announcement of the election result, our correspondent says.

The creation of the government of national unity will now diminish the importance of the election result. I understand that after the audit the final gap between the two candidates was less than three points - a significant cut from Ashraf Ghani's lead after the first count of 13 points.

A president who has built an international reputation as an incorruptible technocrat is tarnished by the fact that most of the fraud in the election was discovered to be in his votes.

The new Afghan government will have a cabinet of ministers, including the CEO and two deputies, chaired by the president who will take strategic decisions. Day-to-day administration will be carried out by a new Council of Ministers, chaired by the CEO, and including all ministers.

One major issue that divided both camps was over appointments. Abdullah Abdullah won the fight to be able to appoint senior positions on terms of "parity" with Ashraf Ghani, and "the two teams will be equally represented at the leadership level".

But appointments further down will be "equitably" shared - so there will not be a one-for-one handout of jobs across the country. Ashraf Ghani is impatient to make major reforms, and has secured the wording he wants on the formation of a "merit-based" mechanism to appoint senior officials.

What the Afghan power-sharing deal means
The new chief executive - nominated by Mr Abdullah - will be side-by-side with the president when he is inaugurated in the next few days.

Mr Abdullah will be able to appoint senior positions on terms of "parity" with Mr Ghani. The agreement says "the two teams will be equally represented at the leadership level".

However, our correspondent says there will not be a one-for-one handout of jobs further down and that could lead to arguments.

The agreement calls for a spirit of partnership. But after a bitter election campaign and months of wrangling, the stability of this government cannot be guaranteed, he adds.

Earlier, Mr Abdullah told the BBC that he accepted Mr Ghani should be leader.

A spokesman for Mr Ghani said that there was no longer any dispute between the two sides.

One of the new president's first tasks is widely expected to be signing a bilateral security agreement with the US.

The deal will allow a small force of soldiers to remain beyond 2014 to train Afghan security forces.

President Karzai refused to sign the security agreement, which is linked to the continuation of aid needed to pay Afghan civil servants, teachers and soldiers.

Mr Ghani and Mr Abdullah have both promised to sign it.

Afghanistan's Ashraf Ghani leads in early vote count
Former Afghan Finance Minister Ashraf Ghani is leading the race to replace Hamid Karzai as president, according to preliminary results.

Mr Ghani won 56.44% of votes in the 14 June run-off, election officials said. His rival Abdullah Abdullah had 43.56%.

Mr Abdullah, who fell just short of an outright majority in the first round, rejected the result.

Both men have alleged fraud in the election. Votes are being re-checked at more than 7,000 polling stations.

They represent nearly a third of centres where votes were cast and correspondents say recounts could significantly alter the result.

'Only initial results'
Chief election commissioner Ahmad Yusuf Nuristani stressed that the results were not final and acknowledged that there had been "some mistakes in the overall process".

"It is only initial results," he told a news conference in Kabul. "There is a chance of change in the overall figure.

"The announcement of preliminary results does not mean that the leading candidate is the winner.

"We announced preliminary results today and it is now the complaints commission's duty to inspect this case."

Final results are due on 22 July.

Mr Abdullah was well ahead after the first round in April, winning 45% of votes cast while Mr Ghani had 31.5% and came second.

Correspondents say the election could pose worrying questions for future stability if the final outcome is not accepted.

Mr Ghani, a former World Bank official, is believed to have won votes among tribes from the Pashtun majority in southern and eastern areas.

A spokesman for Mr Abdullah, who is of Tajik-Pashtun parentage, was swift to reject Monday's initial figures.

"As we had rejected the outcome of the result before and had declared that we could not trust the election commission, our stand is the same today," spokesman Fazlurrahman Oria told the BBC.

The two rival camps were locked in talks for much of Monday, delaying the results announcement as they sought to defuse tensions over the vote.

It comes during a critical year for Afghanistan. Most foreign troops are due to withdraw by the end of 2014.

Afghanistan's 2009 presidential election was also marred by claims of mass fraud. Dr Abdullah pulled out of the race, which was won by Mr Karzai.

Karzai’s Cousin Endorses Abdullah Abdullah

Jamil Karzai, cousin of President Hamid Karzai and influential businessman, announced his support for Abdullah Abdullah on Wednesday.
“We have decided to announce our support to the team that whose goal is to reform and bring solidarity to the country: Dr. Abdullah Abdullah,” Karzai said. “We promise to move shoulder to shoulder with him.”
In addition, Jamil Karzai vowed to undertake all possible efforts to make sure Dr. Abdullah comes out victorious in the second round of the presidential elections.
A few minutes later, Dr. Abdullah stepped onto the stage emphasizing that the runoff will not be based on ethnicities. He called on the Afghan people to participate in the second round. However, there are speculations about a possible ethnic political move during the runoff process.
“It is not applicable to move the elections toward ethnicity, we are confident that the country will not go into crisis,” Abdullah explained. “We will always protect the national interests.”
The runoff campaigns are scheduled to begin on Thursday May 22.
