The Ralph Thornton Community Centre has been a cornerstone of the vibrant South Riverdale community.

Over the years, RTCC has played a key role in bringing residents together to identify, discuss and address local issues and needs. We strive to promote the true spirit of community and build a healthy, inclusive neighbourhood. Our supportive environment enables citizens to connect with each other and access important resources. Everyone in South Riverdale, regardless of race, culture, gender, inco

me or social status is welcome at the RTCC. Whether you are interested in child and youth programs, our computer resource centre, recreation and education, community news and activism or simply a meeting space to host your own gatherings, we have room for you.

In recognition of Labour Day, our office will be closed on Monday, September 7.

🌡️ Summer Fundraiser Update 🌡️

We've already raised an impressive $6,759.77, putting us more than halfway to our goal of $13,000—enough to send 10 children from low-income households to summer camp for a month each! 🏕️😎

We've had some fantastic support from local Riverside BIA businesses, and with less than a month left, we need the support of our amazing community members and other local businesses to help us reach our goal! ⚽️ 🥅

💚 $65 sends a child to camp for a day.
💚 $325 sends a child to camp for a week.
💚 $1,300 sends a child to camp for an entire month.

Every little bit counts, and with your help, we can give children from low-income households the chance to experience a fun and inclusive summer camp. 🌞

🧡 Commemorate Truth, Healing, and Reconciliation with Community! 🧡

Join Fontbonne Ministries, Harmony Hall, the Ontario Aboriginal HIV/AIDS Strategy, Ralph Thornton Community Centre, and South Riverdale Community Health Centre for a series of FREE community events commemorating Truth, Healing, and Reconciliation.

Join us on:
📅 September 2, from 3:30 PM–5:00 PM, for a free Indigenous Community Meal at Harmony Hall (2 Gower St.). Enjoy a delicious Indigenous feast featuring salmon and manoomin (wild rice).

📅 September 24, from 1:00 PM–3:00 PM, for a free community meal, friendship bracelet making, health activities, and a vibrant marketplace featuring Indigenous vendors at 955 Queen St. E. If you're in the mood for some shopping, be sure to bring your wallet—everything else is free!

📅 September 29, from 1:00 PM–3:00 PM, for a feast and Sacred Fire with OAHAS at at 282 Parliament St. to celebrate the Fall Equinox and honour those who have passed as a result of colonization, as well as those who have survived. Listen to the powerful sounds of OAHAS's Big Drum, She Who Brings Change, enjoy a BBQ, and more!
