What is PTM’s Plan?
The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement PTM is a peaceful movement that strives for the restoration of the fundamental rights of the Pashtun people which have been denied to them for decades. PTM is not a movement of violence, hatred, or division; rather, it is a non violent democratic struggle aimed at ensuring the implementation of the rights guaranteed under the Constitution of Pakistan. The movement demands an immediate end to extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, drone strikes, and military operations in tribal and Pashtun regions.
PTM also calls for the removal of landmines, which continue to claim the lives of innocent children, women, and civilians.
According to Manzoor Ahmed Pashteen, the purpose of PTM is not confrontation with the state, but to remind the state of its constitutional responsibilities. The movement believes in rule of law, human dignity, justice, and the restoration of peace.
PTM seeks justice for affected families, demands that all missing persons be presented before courts, and calls for an end to the environment of fear and oppression.
Moreover, PTM clarifies that its struggle is not limited to one nation or region, but it raises its voice for all oppressed and marginalized communities. Its message is clear Peace, Justice, and Equality not violence.
