Meet Kathy.
Mayor Chow says Toronto is doing fine. Kathy lives the reality. She feels less safe. People struggling with homelessness and addiction aren’t getting the help they need. And businesses like hers are left dealing with the consequences…disorder outside the door and customers being driven away. Kathy says Toronto is getting worse. City Hall needs to stop telling people everything is fine, and start listening to the people living it.

Paying more, but getting less? City Hall tells you property taxes are going up by one number, then quietly piles on higher fees and charges. ABC Toronto is calling for a cap on the total municipal tax burden: no increases above inflation. Before taking more from taxpayers, City Hall must cut waste and find savings. Toronto families live within their budgets. City Hall should too.

Multiple serious incidents over the past few days have left residents asking the same question: where is the plan? At a time when leadership is needed most, “we’ll see” isn’t enough.
Toronto doesn’t need uncertainty. It needs action.

When violence breaks out, riders don’t have time to download an app, they need a safe transit system.
