🔧 WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?

🧟‍♂️ Apply a mechanical cam to create a spooky Halloween movement.
⚙️ Understand the concept of mechanical asymmetry—how parts can move differently instead of mirroring each other.
🧠 Explore how circular motion can be transformed into the zombie’s funny walking movement.
💡 Learn how machines and mechanisms can be used to create entertaining, exaggerated actions.

🎭 COMICAL MACHINES IN ACTION!

Students will discover that comical machines are machines or contraptions designed to be humorous or entertaining. They often use simple materials and mechanisms to create unusual or exaggerated movements that make people laugh.

We’ll examine the Zombie model and discuss its movement: when one leg is down, the other is up. To create this effect, the legs must be arranged asymmetrically.

In everyday language, a symmetrical object can be split into two identical sides, while an asymmetrical object has sides that are different. Students will even take part in a quick challenge to identify which objects are symmetrical and which are not!

🐠⚙️ How Does a LEGO®-Style Fish Swim? Our Young Engineers Are Finding Out!

Today in Bricks Challenge, our young engineers explored something that looks like play—but is actually mechanical engineering in action! 🔧🧠

Using our 🐟 Swimming Fish model, students discovered how to:

🔄 Transform circular motion into elliptical motion
⚙️ Understand how gears transfer movement
↔️ Explore the role of a slider mechanism
📏 See how changing the axle length affects the fish’s movement
🛠️ Experiment, modify, upgrade and create their own designs

The best part? They’re not just following instructions—they’re building, testing, asking “what if?” and learning through experimentation. 💡
