Not all mothers are equal.
Some mothers love their children.
Some mothers don’t.
Some mothers take care of their children.
Some don’t.
Some mothers feed their children.
Some don’t.
Some mothers do their best for their mothers
Some don’t.
Some mothers sacrifice for their children.
Some don’t.
See my biological mother that gave birth to me at least gave birth to me. But then, she neglected me. The mother who adopted me, she didn’t birth me, but she fed me and loved me. She took care of me and sacrificed for me. She did her best, despite not being perfect. My two mothers were not equal.
We all have choices to make in life. And my question to you as a mother, what kind of mother are you?
See, there are mothers who kill their children before they are born. Others who harm their children before they are born. Still others who are abusive or neglectful of their children after they are born. There are others who do the bare minimum. There are those who are good mothers. And then there are those who are great mothers.
Mothers who pour out themselves for their children.
Mothers who choose wisely of who the father of their children will be.
Mothers who take seriously their relationship with Jesus and pour out prayer upon prayer on their children.
Mothers who are patient and kind.
Mothers who raise their children to love and fear God.
Mothers who sacrifice for their children.
Mothers who are undeniably full of the love of Jesus.
Mothers who impact generations.
And to those mothers we honour today. To those mothers we bless you today. To those mothers we pray that your arms and hearts would always be full.
And to the other mothers we pray that you would repent and turn to be mothers of renown - changing generations to come. Because the best mothers are mothers who are full of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
