That's where the Fire Weather Index (FWI) comes in. It helps fire management professionals assess wildland fire potential using current and forecasted weather conditions.

Outdoor burning rules remain in effect until October 31 and following them helps reduce the risk of wildland fires in our communities and natural areas.

our Ontario Corps partner, Ontario Search and Rescue Volunteer Association has K9 teams? These dogs learn to track missing persons by picking up human scents in the wilderness. The teams train 10 hours per week to ensure the dogs and handlers can work safely and effectively in every type of terrain and weather condition.
