Municipalities are at a tipping point.

Over 80,000 Ontarians experienced homelessness in 2024 — that’s a 25% increase compared to 2022.

The situation will only get worse if Doug Ford doesn’t act now.

We’re calling on the provincial government to do their part in end by prioritizing long-term housing solutions.

Our plan for a New Deal will help families across Ontario—and I’m looking forward to working with former Toronto Mayor, David Miller, to drive this work forward.

When we invest in communities and take care of the basics, when we govern with courage and compassion, we can get good things done.

And that’s exactly what New Democrats intend to do.
