The rating scale is a core feature of PEO's competency-based assessment (CBA) system. Qualification assessors use it to evaluate the engineering knowledge and experience demonstrated through the work examples submitted for each of the 34 competencies.

PEO welcomed over 160 attendees from across the province to celebrate our volunteers at the 2026 Order of Honour Ceremony and Volunteer Symposium.

We recognized eight volunteers as they were inducted into the Order of Honour, our highest volunteer recognition program for individuals who have made substantial contributions to supporting PEO’s regulatory mandate.

The Volunteer Symposium featured keynote speaker David Boroto, recognized longstanding volunteer service through the PEO Hall of Fame, and included breakout sessions on a range of topics.

PEO has revoked the professional engineering licence of Granville B. Vickerman and the Certificate of Authorization held by his firm V.M.E. Technologies Inc., both based in Sudbury, Ontario. The revocations, effective September 25, 2026, followed repeated breaches of a restriction requiring Vickerman to practise only under the direct supervision of another professional engineer.
