Great outing to learn about tree swallows.

Join Wildlife Technician, Fiep de Bie to learn all about tree swallows! If timing is right, attendees will get to observe the banding of tree swallow chicks 💙
This is an ages 55+ friendly event located at the Glenaladale Schoolhouse. Space is limited to so please register by emailing [email protected] or call 782-377-8806

This project is made possible through the Connecting Seniors to Nature Through Technology & Teaching Program (CSNTT), an initiative created and administered by the Southeast Environmental Association (SEA) and delivered in partnership with Island-based community organizations. ✨ Come to the Glenaladale School House and listen to some acoustic Sunset Jazz this Saturday May 9th and next Saturday May 16th✨

With limited seating, reserving tickets in advance is possible by emailing [email protected], but tickets will be available (cash only) at the door.

“The Forgive-me-nots return this month with a pair of relaxed, accessible live shows at the Glenaladale Schoolhouse, presenting Acoustic Jazz at Sunset on May 9 and May 16.

Featuring ECMA Award-nominated guitarist Rob Drew and the smooth vocals of Harmony Wagner, the ensemble is known for paring down world-famous jazz classics into their most intimate, listenable form. Musically, audiences can expect a mix of jazz standards made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Billie Holiday, Anita O’Day, Amy Winehouse, and more.

Each event will feature a completely different set list and a sing-along song—“Georgia” by Hoagy Carmichael on May 9 and “Cheek to Cheek“ by Irving Berlin on May 16.

Seating will be cabaret style, encouraging folks to get up and dance if the feeling moves them, partake in the licensed cash bar and goodies offered up by the Schoolhouse Cafe, step out to watch the moonrise on the deck, or explore the nuances of the facility.

Doors open at 7:30 pm. Shows start at 8 pm. The venue includes wheelchair-accessible washrooms and free on-site parking at 257 Blooming Point, Tracadie Cross. For updates, follow @ The Forgive-me-nots on Facebook.”
