The Banned Book Club meets again on Thursday, September 17th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm to discuss the critically acclaimed book, Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. Join Danielle to examine the critiques surrounding this controversial story about how the bubonic plague ravished an English mining village. Registration is required and a copy of the book can be picked up at the library. Please call ahead to confirm a book is available as copies are limited.

The Riverfront Centre will be closed from September 8–12 for renovations.

During the closure, holds will not be available for pickup, but our outside book drop will remain open for returns. If you need assistance, you can still reach us by phone at 250-364-1731.

Join us at the Trail & District Public Library for a delightful evening of music at our Campfire Singalong happening tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19th, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM!

Patricia will be leading the group through a selection of well-loved tunes , and we invite everyone aged 8 to 108 to bring their own acoustic instruments and play along. No prior experience is necessary. Are you interested in learning about how to use tarot cards for self-reflection, personal guidance or divination? Come to the Trail & District Public Library this Wednesday, August 19th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm and join Patricia for an informal gathering to enjoy some tea and a tarot reading. No experience is necessary, but more experienced participants are welcome to bring their own cards and share their knowledge with others. This is a drop-in program for ages 13 and above. Come along to see what the cards have in store for you!
