Create your own beautiful pine needle ornament and enjoy a fun, hands-on creative experience. Open to ages 12–112, and no previous experience is necessary!

Join us for the second speaker in the Amazing and Aging Fall Wellness Series on Wednesday, October 28th at the Waneta Programming Hub! A presentation of Advanced Care Planning with Taryn O'Genski RN, will explore the benefits of prearranging a healthcare plan in the event you are unable to advocate for yourself. Light snacks will be served at 1:30pm, and the presentation begins at 2:00pm. Registration is required.

Presented in partnership with the FAIR Society, Better at Home and the South Kootenay Seniors.

Join us tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th from 10:30am at Haley Park in Warfield for a Community Connections Walk. Take a stroll around the track with old or new friends and enjoy a crisp autumn day. Walk at your own pace, or just sit down for a chat with coffee and a snack. Everyone is welcome to attend this free, drop-in program. This event is held every Thursday until October 22nd.

Community Connections Walk is offered in partnership with Better at Home and South Kootenay Seniors.

In the run up to Halloween, the Waneta Program Hub is hosting a presentation of Tracing the Hebrew Roots of the Vampire this Thursday, October 8th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. Join Fernando Soto for an afternoon discussing Hebrew vampire folklore with reference to the Bible and other Jewish sources, focusing on Lilith and Cain's vampiric roots. This is a drop-in program suitable for older teens and adults.

Join Patricia and Jessica Haskins, Indigenous artist, for a special two-part Beaded Poppy Workshop and learn how to bead your own poppy!

Open to ages 12–112, with some beading experience an asset. Join us Wednesday, October 14, from 4:30–6:30 PM and Tuesday, October 27, from 5:30–6:30 PM. Come create, learn, and connect through the beautiful art of beading! Limited enrolment and online registration is required.

Are you interested in learning about how to use tarot cards for self-reflection, personal guidance or divination? Come to the Trail & District Public Library on October 13th and December 1st from 5:00pm to 6:00pm to join Patricia for an informal gathering of tea and tarot reading. No experience is necessary, but more experienced participants are welcome to bring their own cards and share their knowledge with others. Registration is required. This program is suitable for ages 13 and above. Come along to see what the cards have in store for you!
