Grand Opening of new 'Me Time' room this morning at the Sqn located in Line Crew. This is the cumulation of work by Chief Moore, MCpl Pichette and Health Promotion to create a space for members to take some time during work hours to reset, relax or simply close your eyes for a min. Maj MacKay and Chief Overton, Comd Team, cut the ribbon opening the newest of mental health initiatives at the Wing. Koodos to Canex for donating the furniture, TY!

The Command Team of 2 Air Movements Squadron is saddened to announce that MCpl Michael Bush passed away on 27 September 2022. He was a valued and important part of the Traffic Technician family and the Air Mov team here at 8 Wing and will be greatly missed.

We are a tight knit family of dedicated Canadian Armed Forces logisticians and this loss is greatly reverberating throughout our community.

During this difficult time, it is strongly encouraged for us to lean on one another as Mike’s absence is having a profound impact on us all.

On behalf of everyone at 2 Air Movements Squadron we express our deepest sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.

For those wishing to attend, there will be a Memorial Service and a Celebration of Life with more details to come.

Good Morning Movers,

This is a very special day for us at 2 Air Mov Sqn as we mark our 71st Anniversary! We have a long and proud history that continues to exceed expectations through the hard work and dedication of its members, past and present.

Over this past year we have proudly supported 8 Wg with the following notable accomplishments:

 1,814 aircraft handled;
 29,307 passengers through the passenger terminal;
 8,932,254 lbs of frt, mail and baggage via ground and air; and
 6,760 personnel days away on training exercise and deployment.

Members have been recognized for their hard work through:

 CJOC Commendations;
 8 Wg Comd Commendations;

What 2 Air Mov Sqn has been able to accomplish over this last year has been truly commendable.
