We would like to extend a huge thank you to Premier First Aid and Safety for putting on an excellent Medical First Responder course. Your professionalism, instruction, and support throughout the course were greatly appreciated.

A big thank you as well to the departments of Onslow Belmont Fire Brigade, Hilden Fire Brigade, and Wentworth Volunteer Fire Department, along with members from North River and District Fire Brigade, for their participation, teamwork, and commitment to strengthening our skills and readiness.

Special recognition to instructor Darcy Keating for delivering an outstanding and engaging MFR course, and to assistant Karen for taking and sharing these photos

Lastly, a huge thank you to Amy Hansen and Susan Smith for the delicious meals they prepared for everyone — they were truly appreciated and helped keep us all going throughout the training.

🚒 New Equipment for North River Fire Brigade 🚒

The North River Fire Brigade is proud to announce the addition of new supply and attack lines, valued at $12,000, now placed into service on our newest Pumper Tanker 441.
This upgrade would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community — your continued backing truly makes a difference in keeping our firefighters equipped and ready to respond.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Nova Scotia Firefighters 50-50 and Rafflebox for their support.

With your help and Nova Scotia Firefighters 50-50, we were able to purchase 2 more voice pagers for our volunteer firefighters at a value of $1300.

If you didn't know:

As volunteers, we could be coming from our job/business, from home for evening or even family get-togethers. Day or night, Rain or Shine. 365 days a year. Our members carry these pagers to alert them that there is a call for help.

These pagers play a vital role in a quick response!
