Nancy Crosby was selected as the 2026 Municipality of Colchester Provincial Volunteer Award recipient in recognition of her outstanding volunteer contributions and her unwavering dedication to the Big Brothers Big Sisters community.

The 52nd Annual Provincial Volunteer Awards Ceremony was held at Casino Nova Scotia on September 28, 2026.

Congratulations, Nancy, on this well-deserved honour!

Calling all artists!

This November! The Municipality of Colchester is hosting it's 23rd Annual Art Acquisition

We are looking for Visual art that reflects the historic and artistic development of Colchester County and its artists. Original artwork in all mediums — including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, mixed media, printmaking, digital art, installation, and more.

The Art show will take place at the NSCC Truro Campus library on Tuesday, November 17th where the Municipality will pick a winning piece to add to our growing collection at 1 Church St.
