Kindred Critters is coming to the Truro Library on Friday, October 23rd!!

Kindred Critters brings exciting, educational, and interactive animal presentations to you! Get up close and personal with a variety of different animals - you'll be sure to learn something new. This program is for ages 6-12. Registration is required.

We are excited to announce that Two-Eyed Seeing Kits are now available at your library!

According to the Two-Eyed Seeing Program, Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing) is "a way of learning that teaches us to see the strengths of both Indigenous and Western ways of knowing, and to use both together for a fuller understanding of the world."

Each kit includes four picture books by Mi'kmaq authors, a learning and activity book, and arts and craft supplies for completing activities at home. The kits can only be borrowed by Colchester-East Hants Public Library patrons, and each of our branches will have a kit.

Under the supervision of Director of Youth Services, the Public Service Associate delivers library service and programs in the Truro Branch, including outreach, with an emphasis on children’s and teen services.
