Road Closure Notice – Laurie Street & Lyman Street

Please be advised that Laurie Street and Lyman Street will be closed to traffic between Alice Street and Higgins Street/Adam Street on Monday, June 15th, as asphalt milling operations will begin at 7:00 am and continue throughout the day.

- No street-side parking will be permitted.
- Local resident access will be accommodated as needed.

Town of Truro Environmental Services will be repairing a water valve on Forrester Street Thursday, June 11, from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

During this necessary work, Forrester Street, and Victoria Street from Young Street to Forrester Street will be closed, except to local traffic. Detours will be in place.

Residents and businesses in these areas will experience an interruption in water service during this time.

Reconstruction work on Havelock Street will begin tomorrow, June 10. Work includes roadway and sidewalk replacement, along with stormwater drainage upgrades at the intersection of Havelock Street and Esplanade Street.

🔵No vehicular access Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM
Limited, traffic-controlled pedestrian access will be maintained for businesses and properties in the work zone.

🟢The street will reopen after 4:00PM on weekdays and on weekends where safe to do so.

Work is expected to continue until late July to mid-August, weather dependent.

Please plan accordingly and follow posted signage.

During this time, Pleasant Street will be temporarily closed during milling operations and limited access will be available, local residents will be accommodated as needed. No street-side parking will be permitted

Motorists are asked to plan alternate routes and follow posted signage.

Prince Street will be reduced to a single lane between Dominion Street and Pleasant Street on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, for water service work.

Work will begin at 7:30 AM each day and continue until completed. Traffic control personnel will be on-site, but drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
