While the current water supply remains at a steady level, water conservation ensures the water supply remains as healthy as possible through the late summer and fall.

Small daily changes in water use habits can make a significant impact and help to avoid further restrictions. Doing our part to conserve water now will have a lasting impact for the future – every drop counts.

This is a reminder that The District of Ucluelet is hosting a candidate information session for those considering running for office as a Mayor or Councillor in the 2026 general local election.

The event is being held in person and livestreamed on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the George Fraser Community Room, Ucluelet Community Center located at 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet. A recording of the session will be made available after the session.

Dear Residents,

The District of Ucluelet’s 2026 General Local Election will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Nominations for the offices of Mayor (1) and Councillor (4) for the District of Ucluelet will be accepted from September 1 to September 11, 2026, during regular nomination hours.

Nomination packages will be available beginning August 13, 2026, at the District Office and on the District's website. Completed nomination documents must be received by 4:00 p.m. on September 11, 2026.

Dear Residents,

The 2026 General Local Election will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The District of Ucluelet will use the Provincial Voters List for the election. The deadline to register in advance as a non-resident property elector is August 25, 2026.

Advance registration applies to non-resident property electors only. Resident electors who are not on the Province’s voter list may register at the advance voting opportunity on October 7, 2026, or on General Voting Day, October 17, 2026.

The list of registered electors will be available for public inspection beginning September 1, 2026. Objections to elector registrations must be submitted by September 11, 2026.

Dear Residents,

The District of Ucluelet is hosting a candidate information session for those considering running for office as a Mayor or Councillor in the 2026 general local election.

The information session will cover a range of topics including candidate eligibility, what to expect if elected, responsibilities of candidates during the election period, and other relevant topics for prospective candidates. The session will be led by Ed Chow, Chief Election Officer and Florence Pelchat, Deputy Chief Election Officer.

The event is being held in person and livestreamed on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the George Fraser Community Room, Ucluelet Community Center located at 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet. A recording of the session will be made available after the session.
