Reminder: Maggie Forest Service Road closes Monday, August 17 at 7:30 a.m. through Friday, August 28 for culvert installation.

Detour: Barkley Forest Service Road.

Please drive with caution, the road is narrow with poor sight-lines.

Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District election staff will be attending the District of Ucluelet Candidate Information Session on Wednesday August 12 at 5 pm in the George Fraser Community Room, Ucluelet Community Centre.

Information will be provided for those thinking of running for the Long Beach Electoral Area Director and for the School District 70 (Pacific Rim) Board of Education on the West Coast.

🚧 August 17th Road Closure Alert: Maggie Lake FSR 🚧

Please be advised: if you’re travelling to Macoah or Secret Beach Campground, Maggie Lake FSR (Branch 01) will be closed starting August 17th for approximately 3 weeks. Crews are installing two fish passage arch pipes along the route.

🚧 Access beyond the 10km mark will detour onto Barkley FSR (Maggie Branch 04) 🚧

Access to Macoah and/or Secret Beach Campground is being detoured to Barkley Forest Service Road. Entrance to the detour road is via Port Albion Road just outside of Ucluelet.

Detour signage will be posted at the Highway 4 turn-off and along Barkley FSR this Thursday.

Please drive with extra caution on the detour. Traffic will be heavier than usual, and several single-lane bridges cross Barkley FSR. Towing a wide trailer? Consider a pilot vehicle for safety.

We appreciate your patience. This closure marks the last major structure replacement in a multi-year upgrade to Maggie Lake FSR, and we’re grateful for the ongoing work keeping these roads in good shape.
