The energy at this year’s Sister 2 Sister Conference on April 8th was unmatched!💫

This year’s event brought together an inspiring community of about 300 young women for a day of learning, empowerment, and connection. From workshops to panels to fireside chats, every minute of the conference was designed to uplift and equip young women.

A heartfelt thank you to our Presenting Sponsors, Bill & Coral Martin & Family, whose generous support made this all possible.

We also want to thank our incredible partners: , , and for their contributions to our gift bag and pink ticket giveaway. A special thank you to our MC Sonia Tambwe, our Fireside Chat guest Umu Sowe, and the brilliant — Toronto’s Youth Poet Laureate — for bringing such amazing energy and heart to the stage. Thank you to Kelley Castle and Yvette Ali from for your warm welcome, and Jenny Blackbird for her opening performance. We’re grateful for every workshop facilitator, panelist, and planning committee member who gave their time and talent.

To every young woman who walked through those doors, you are seen, you are valued, and you are capable of anything.

Here’s to another year of breaking barriers and empowering young women to rise up!

What if fewer young people entered the justice system?

Prevention is not only possible, it’s proven. At Peacebuilders Canada, the work happens in classrooms, in communities, and in partnership with courts, creating space for young people to build brighter futures.

Spring for Peace on May 7th is an opportunity to stand behind that work. It’s an evening where community and impact come together in support of youth facing barriers.

Join us and be part of a solution that’s already reshaping what justice can look like. Get your tickets today or extend your impact by becoming a Spring for Peace sponsor or benefactor.

As Black History Month comes to a close we are reflecting on the power of Black youth leadership grounded in care, connection, and community 🩵

Meet Noa a Peacebuilders Canada Youth Ambassador, artist, and organizer who is creating spaces in her school where Black students feel seen heard and valued. Through art workshops, courageous advocacy, and relationship building, Noa demonstrates what becomes possible when young people are supported to lead with confidence purpose and belonging.

Black history does not end in February. Support Black youth. Uplift their voices. Make space for their leadership every day through care, accountability, and collective responsibility.
