The Uxpool will be open Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, under regular operating hours. The Uxbridge Arena remains closed for the long weekend.

Meet Swiss Cheese 🧀🐾

Swiss Cheese is an approximately 3-year-old orange long-haired gentleman looking for a quiet, loving home to finally call his own.

This sweet boy had a rough start after being found as a stray with multiple wounds on his body, but through it all he remained gentle, kind, and accepting of affection. Swiss Cheese may be shy and quiet at first, but underneath that timid exterior is a loving cat just waiting to trust someone again.

His recipe for friendship? A lickable treat, soft gentle pets, and a little patience. Once he warms up, Swiss Cheese will reward you with a lifetime of love and companionship. He’s the kind of cat who will quietly steal your heart while curled up nearby, happy just to feel safe and cared for.

Thank-you to Ontario Parks staff and volunteers for participating in the yesterday. Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park staff cleaned litter and garbage from the roadside and wetlands on Conc. 6 while volunteers cleaned Old Stouffville Rd. Thanks everyone for making our community cleaner and our environment healthier!

Get certified this summer and take the National Lifeguard course!

The Uxbridge Pool is offering two great opportunities this season: Lifeguard certification and Swim Instructor training.

To register for the National Lifeguard course, participants must be at least 15 years old and hold valid Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid/ Intermediate First Aid certifications.

Training Dates:

Meet Malcolm! A friendly, loyal dog looking for a patient and understanding home. He absolutely loves being with people and is eager to learn, but does struggle with anxiety when left alone or confined.

We are currently working on obedience and crate training, he is making progress. He would do best with an experienced shepherd owner who understands the breed’s intelligence, sensitivity, and need for structure.

With patience and the right environment, Malcolm has all the potential to become an incredible companion.
