This Wednesday, June 23rd, the BC Greens Vancouver Riding Association presents the first webinar of our summer speaker series!
Join former Vancouver-Langara BC Greens candidate Stephanie Hendy as she talks with two leaders from the BC Association of Kinesiologists about access to exercise - from finances, to chronic health and disability management, to population health.
We will be discussing how legislative changes could improve access across these fronts, as well as current low-income access to exercise initiatives already in place.
Stephanie Hendy is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and practicing Kinesiologist. Raised, and living most of her life, in Vancouver, Stephanie lives with Type 1 Diabetes and has lived in a variety of income situations. She has been involved in disability advocacy and is passionate about removing barriers to exercise and improving access for all.
Our presenters from the BC Association of Kinesiologists are Hardip Jhaj and Daryl Reynolds.
Hardip is the creative Founder, and Director, of Kinexions Health Inc. and Trisura Health Institute Inc., as well as a member of the Board of the BC Association of Kinesiologists and Chair of Government Relations and Stakeholder Policy for the association.
Daryl graduated from Simon Fraser University in the late 1980s with a B.Sc. in Kinesiology, where he trained in Engineering and Kinesiology. He has been a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists since the society was first formed in 1992 and is currently its Executive Director. Daryl has been a practicing Kinesiologist in the fields of orthopedic rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury and athletic conditioning since 1996.
Questions will be permitted in the last 15 minutes of the presentation, and we will attempt to answer live.
