The BC Greens Vancouver Riding Association is the grassroots organization working together to get Green MLAs elected in the 11 provincial ridings of Vancouver, from the Fraser to False Creek, from Point Grey to Play Land. [PDF map hyperlink]. We are a community of Green supporters from around the city, coming together to build a movement of sustainability and progressive values within British Colu

mbia. We are dedicated to the Green commitment to evidence-based decision-making and using our six core principles to develop policies that will serve future generations:

Sustainability
Respect for Diversity
Participatory Democracy
Social Justice
Ecological Wisdom
Non-Violence

We meet regularly for social events, community service, and outreach activities aimed at expanding our diversity and inclusion, dialoguing with all communities (including those not traditionally Green), and building our base, while having some fun along the way. Please join us to co-create a cohesive, effective organization that will make a breakthrough in Vancouver! Authorized by BC Green Party. 1-888-473-3686.

Thank you Lisa for creating this fantastic video from yesterday's Picnic in the Park with Sonia Furstenau!

It felt so great to come together after all this time. We are looking forward to planning more events this summer and building the Vancouver team.

Spontaneously spent an evening with the green party because why not? 🤷🏼‍♀️

This Wednesday, June 23rd, the BC Greens Vancouver Riding Association presents the first webinar of our summer speaker series!

Join former Vancouver-Langara BC Greens candidate Stephanie Hendy as she talks with two leaders from the BC Association of Kinesiologists about access to exercise - from finances, to chronic health and disability management, to population health.

We will be discussing how legislative changes could improve access across these fronts, as well as current low-income access to exercise initiatives already in place.

Stephanie Hendy is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and practicing Kinesiologist. Raised, and living most of her life, in Vancouver, Stephanie lives with Type 1 Diabetes and has lived in a variety of income situations. She has been involved in disability advocacy and is passionate about removing barriers to exercise and improving access for all.

Our presenters from the BC Association of Kinesiologists are Hardip Jhaj and Daryl Reynolds.

Hardip is the creative Founder, and Director, of Kinexions Health Inc. and Trisura Health Institute Inc., as well as a member of the Board of the BC Association of Kinesiologists and Chair of Government Relations and Stakeholder Policy for the association.

Daryl graduated from Simon Fraser University in the late 1980s with a B.Sc. in Kinesiology, where he trained in Engineering and Kinesiology. He has been a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists since the society was first formed in 1992 and is currently its Executive Director. Daryl has been a practicing Kinesiologist in the fields of orthopedic rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury and athletic conditioning since 1996.

Questions will be permitted in the last 15 minutes of the presentation, and we will attempt to answer live.
