Elliot brings a wealth of experience and is available to support you at every stage of the writing process. Whether you need help developing a topic, refining a research question, finding and using sources, organizing your paper, or improving grammar and clarity, the Writing Centre is here to help!

If you're working on an assignment this summer, we encourage you to book an in-person or online appointment on the Library website.

July 22, 2026, would have been J.I. Packer's 100th birthday! Join the Allison Library in honouring Dr. Packer (1926–2020) on the 100th Anniversary of his birth by visiting our new J.I. Packer Rare Books display! This display highlights some of J.I. Packer's interests and influences from his personal library and collections.

Other curiosities from Dr. Packer's library, such as his desk, typewriter, and other curated items, can be seen in the Houston Packer Rare Books Reading Room on July 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Introducing the Book Nook! Our small, new display near the Staff Recommends highlights a monthly rotation of staff selections from our Rare Books collection. Founding principal, teacher, mentor, author & speaker, the late Jim Houston was a faithful and dedicated leader whose legacy at Regent College and in the Allison Library will endure for generations. Come visit our new display to glimpse some of his life in the Regent community over the years!
