BCCNM is aware that nurses i​​​n British Columbia have initiated job action.

Nurses have the right to participate in the collective bargaining process. BCCNM is not a party to collective bargaining, which is a matter between employers and unions. Our role is to regulate nurses and midwives in the public interest.

During any job action, nurses continue to be accountable for meeting BCCNM's Standards of Practice and fulfilling their professional and ethical responsibilities, including their duty to provide care.
