Reflections on Climate Change in Studio Art / Foundation Ceramics
🌱
On display in the library entrance now until March 24
🏺
In the heart of Emily Carr University, the library serves as a strong platform for generating ideas and developing critical and analytical thinking about the urgent issues of our world.
🌎
This collaborative exhibition between Parvin Peivandi and the ECU Library Exhibitions Committee connects the studio art practice to the library collection. By using the library’s resources and spaces, students have made art in response to climate change and climate actions.
🌳
The students have worked with clay as an organic material and metaphor of earth to convey the effects of climate change on our bodies and other creatures. This show aims to create spce of possibilities and thinking of our responsibility to take care of our planet.
