เมื่อวันที่ 15 กรกฎาคม 2569 นางสาวณัฐนิภา บุรุษพัฒน์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครแวนคูเวอร์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนาย David Eby มุขมนตรีรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบีย ในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งกงสุลใหญ่ฯ โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ โดยเฉพาะในด้านการค้า การลงทุน นวัตกรรม การศึกษา และพลังงานระหว่างไทยกับรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบีย และแนวทางการส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงด้านธุรกิจ เทคโนโลยี และเศรษฐกิจในภูมิภาคอินโด-แปซิฟิก ซึ่งทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นว่ายังมีศักยภาพที่จะพัฒนาได้อีกมาก
กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เชิญมุขมนตรีนำคณะนักธุรกิจเดินทางเยือนไทย เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจระหว่างกัน ในขณะที่มุขมนตรีแจ้งว่า ยินดีอำนวยความสะดวกแก่ภาคธุรกิจไทยที่มีความสนใจขยายโอกาสด้านการค้าการลงทุนในโครงการต่าง ๆ ของรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบีย และยินดีที่การเจรจาความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย-แคนาดา และความตกลงการค้าเสรีอาเซียน-แคนาดามีความคืบหน้าอย่างต่อเนื่อง
กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นที่จะปฏิบัติหน้าที่เพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยและรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบียให้ก้าวหน้าและครอบคลุมในทุกสาขาความร่วมมืออย่างเต็มที่ โดยเฉพาะในโอกาสครบรอบ 65 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทย-แคนาดาในปีนี้
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ยังได้ขอบคุณมุขมนตรีและทีมงานที่สนับสนุนและดูแลชุมชนไทยในรัฐบริติชโคลัมเบียอย่างดียิ่ง ซึ่งมุขมนตรีแจ้งว่า มีความภูมิใจที่ชุมชนไทยและธุรกิจไทยเป็นสมาชิกของรัฐที่มีคุณภาพ
On 15 July 2026, Ms. Nattanipa Burusapat, Consul General of Thailand in Vancouver, paid a courtesy call on the Honourable David Eby, Premier of British Columbia, on the occasion of assuming her duties as Consul General. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, innovation, education, and energy between Thailand and the Province of British Columbia, as well as opportunities to enhance business, technology, and economic linkages across the Indo Pacific region. Both sides agreed that there remains considerable potential for further development in these areas.
The Consul General extended an invitation to the Premier to lead a business delegation to Thailand to promote economic cooperation. In response, the Premier expressed his willingness to facilitate Thai businesses interested in trade and investment opportunities in various projects in British Columbia. He also welcomed the continued progress in the negotiations of the Thailand–Canada Free Trade Agreement and the ASEAN–Canada Free Trade Agreement.
The Consul General reaffirmed her commitment to advancing and broadening cooperation between Thailand and British Columbia across all sectors, particularly in light of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Canada this year.
On this occasion, the Consul General also conveyed her appreciation to the Premier and his team for their support and care for the Thai community in British Columbia. The Premier noted that he is proud of the Thai community and Thai businesses as valued members contributing positively to the province.
