Since 1973 WSFP has provided a welcoming gathering place for parents, caregivers and children in the community to meet, learn, and grow together.

We would like to acknowledge that we at West Side Family Place are growing and learning as a community on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, in this place commonly known as Vancouver, BC. As guests, we honour the land, water, animals, and the continued efforts of the Indigenous people working to protect them.

Are you a member?

WSFP asks all our participants of our programs to become members or renew your membership of $65 per year.

Membership fees are a much-needed part of our annual revenue and help fund our essential community programs. (Membership runs for one year from the date of payment)

Other membership benefits include:

● Member newsletter with upcoming events and programs
● Opportunity to take on the rewarding role of sitting on our Board of Directors
● Have your say and vote at our Annual General Meeting
● Reduced Birthday Party Rental Rates

WSFP strives to be inclusive and barrier-free. Financial concerns should not limit access to any of our programs. Please contact staff if you need an adjustment to any of our program fees.

Neurodiverse-City: Connect Kids Club

📅2 Sundays: August 9 & 30
🕑2 to 4 pm

📌Connect Kids Club:
Offering children opportunities to build friendships, confidence, and social connection through engaging and supportive group activities. During both sessions, children participate in a combination of free play and structured group activities facilitated by qualified support team.

Activities are guided by children’s interests and may include crafts, cooking, music, cooperative games, STEM projects and occasional community outings.

📣Save the Date: Fall 2026 Nobody's Perfect

📆6 Fridays - September 11 to October 16
🕙 10 am to 12 pm
📌FREE; Childminding available

This program allows parents to meet others with children birth to age 5 and with whom they share interests and concerns. Participants design their own agenda and through staff facilitated discussion, assistant, mutual support, encouragement and acceptance, parents can experience transformative growth with the goal of parenting with confidence.

Pints for a Purpose is just around the corner, and we need your help to make it a success! As a member of our WSFP family, you know firsthand how vital this community is for local parents, caregivers, and children. Do you own a business, run a local shop, or create amazing products?

Thank you to our friend, Sky who joined our Family Dinner and shared songs, stories, traditions, meaningful objects, and read the Fry Bread picture book by Kevin Noble Millard. Thank you to the families who gathered, played and shared a meal with us - it was a lovely summer evening with community.
