BC NDP Persons Living with Disabilities Caucus

BC NDP Persons Living with Disabilities Caucus BC NDP PLWDC page exists to engage, connect, and advance the status of persons with disabilities.

The BC NDP Persons Living with Disabilities Caucus (PLWDC) page exists to engage and connect with persons living with disabilities, their caretakers & family members, as it relates to the Party and its policies. We also encourage allies of the disability movement to join in the conversation. As an underrepresented equity-seeking group, we aim to support persons living with disabilities in leadersh

ip roles and as potential candidates within the BC NDP. The myriad issues that persons with disabilities face on a day-to-day basis are extremely challenging and diverse. As we develop as a caucus and as a community, our hope is that we can bring these challenges to the forefront and work with the BC NDP on removing barriers that can improve the lives of those affected.

Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and I am proud to announce the members of our new Provincial Accessibility Committee.

We all deserve to live with dignity and participate fully in our communities . Now that the Accessible BC Act has passed, we’re on our way to building a more inclusive and accessible British Columbia.

I look forward to working with the committee to ensure we are able to identify, remove and prevent barriers to accessibility and inclusion in BC.
