The City of Vancouver has officially proclaimed July 30 as Mining and Mineral Exploration Day.

Home to nearly 1,000 publicly listed mining and mineral exploration companies with a combined market capitalization of approximately $500 billion, Vancouver is a global hub for mineral exploration. This proclamation recognizes the people, expertise and innovation that drive the industry, as well as the simple truth that there are no future mines without exploration.

Thank you to Thank you to Vancouver City Council (Mayor Ken Sim, Councillors Lenny Zhou and Mike Klassen) for recognizing the essential role our industry plays in building Canada's future.

Tomorrow belongs to the countries with the courage to explore today.

The Canadian Exploration Expense (CEE) is one of the most powerful tools Canada has to accelerate critical mineral development. But right now, it's not working as hard as it could.

Expanding the CEE to include engineering and feasibility work is a practical, targeted change that would reduce the financial burden on explorers, strengthen Canada's exploration pipeline, and improve investment certainty at exactly the moment Canada needs it most. 🇨🇦⛏️🏔️

AME is leading the charge on this file — and we're calling on the Government of Canada to make this change in the next federal budget.

If your organization supports a stronger, more competitive mineral exploration sector, we invite you to add your name to our industry letter: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/019ebd1508b17d6689abf37825c3d373
