The momentum is building: AME’s letter calling for an expansion of the Canadian Exploration Expense (CEE) has now garnered more than 100 signatures from companies in the mineral exploration industry, with support from the Governments of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

It is critical that the federal government honour its Canada Strong election commitment to support the essential technical and engineering work needed to turn mineral discoveries into projects that secure Canada's future.

In 2025, Brandon McDonald received this award for his success in financing Fireweed Metals Corp's critical minerals projects in 2023 in the Yukon in challenging market conditions.

This proclamation recognizes the people, expertise and innovation that drive the industry, as well as the simple truth that there are no future mines without exploration.
