🇵🇹 Medida Emprego Interior Mais - prolongada até 31 de dezembro de 2026

Os emigrantes portugueses que regressem a Portugal e se instalem em territórios do interior podem beneficiar de apoio financeiro no âmbito da Medida Emprego Interior Mais.
📌Quem pode beneficiar?
- Emigrantes que tenham saído de Portugal após 31 de dezembro de 2015;
- Que tenham residido no estrangeiro durante pelo menos 1 ano;
- Que regressem e se instalem no interior do país para exercer atividade profissional.
- Para a candidatura, poderá ser necessária uma declaração comprovativa da situação de emigrante, emitida pelo posto consular competente.
- O certificado consular tem o custo de 75€, de acordo com a Tabela de Emolumentos Consulares em vigor.

Portuguese emigrants returning to Portugal and settling in inland regions may benefit from financial support under the Interior Employment Initiative Plus (Medida Emprego Interior Mais).
📌Who can benefit?
- Emigrants who left Portugal after 31 December 2015;
- Who have lived abroad for at least 1 year;
- Who return to Portugal and settle in inland areas to take up employment.
- For the application, a declaration confirming emigrant status issued by the competent Portuguese consular post may be required.
- The consular certificate has a fee of €75, in accordance with the current Consular Fees Table.

Consul General Cathy Geagan was delighted to welcome special guest Premier David Eby to her Residence for luncheon with EU Consuls General to exchange views on issues of shared interest and reflect on the strong ties between British Columbia, Ireland, and the European Union.

O Cônsul Geral participou hoje na abertura das celebrações do Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas, realizadas no Centro Cultural Português da Colúmbia Britânica (Portuguese Cultural Centre - PCCBC), em Burnaby.

Felicitações ao PCCBC e a todas as instituições, incluindo a Escola Portuguesa, envolvidas na organização do evento.
Parabéns ainda a todos os voluntários, músicos, ranchos folclóricos, e demais artistas, que contribuem para estas magníficas festividades!

The Consul General participated today in the opening of the celebrations of the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities held at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of British Columbia (PCCBC) in Burnaby.

Congratulations to the PCCBC and all the institutions, including the Portuguese School, involved in organizing the event.
Congratulations also to all the volunteers, musicians, folk groups, and other artists who contribute to these magnificent festivities!

🇵🇹 Visita Consular a Edmonton:

O Consulado Geral de Portugal em Vancouver realizou, entre os dias 5-7 de junho, uma visita consular a Edmonton, na Província de Alberta.
O Cônsul Geral encontrou-se com os representantes de todas as associações e instituições portuguesas e entregou as Placas de Mérito atribuídas em Outubro pelo Senhor Secretário de Estado das Comunidades, Dr Emídio Sousa, ao Centro Cultural Português de Edmonton, à Associação Multicultural/PCMS e à Associação Portuguesa da Terceira idade e dos Pioneiros.
No sábado o Cônsul Geral visitou a Escola Portuguesa Gil Vicente e reuniu com o Diretor, Marc Leal, com professores e alunos.
No domingo, visitou a Paróquia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish Edmonton) e assistiu à missa celebrada pelo Rev. Pe. Márcio Luiz da Costa.
Participou ainda nas celebrações do Dia de Portugal que decorreram no Centro Cultural Português.
Os nossos agradecimentos à Associação Portuguesa da Terceira Idade e dos Pioneiros, por todo o apoio na organização desta permanência consular.
Parabéns também pelo atendimento prestado pelas funcionárias consulares Joana Silva e Lyandra Almeida.

🇨🇦 Consular Outreach Mission to Edmonton:

The Consulate General of Portugal in Vancouver carried out a consular outreach mission to Edmonton, in the Province of Alberta, between 5-7th June.
The Consul General met with representatives of all Portuguese associations and institutions and presented the Merit Plaques awarded in October by the Secretary of State for the Portuguese Communities Abroad, Dr. Emidio de Sousa, to the Portuguese Cultural Center of Edmonton, the Multicultural Association/PCMS, and the Portuguese Seniors and Pioneers Society.
On Saturday, the Consul General visited the Gil Vicente Portuguese School and met with the Director, Marc Leal, teachers, and students.
On Sunday, he visited the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima and attended the mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Márcio Luiz da Costa.
He also participated in the Portugal Day celebrations that took place at the Portuguese Cultural Center.
Our thanks to the Portuguese Seniors and Pioneers Society for all their support in organizing this consular visit.
Congratulations also to the consular staff members Joana Silva and Lyandra Almeida for their dedicated service.
