From connecting a child with a caring mentor, to providing supportive caregiving for youth and adults, helping prevent the sexual exploitation of youth, supporting individuals and families affected by FASD, and creating opportunities for people to thrive, your generosity helps make possibilities a reality.

Charity is about more than giving. It’s about believing in people, opening doors and creating opportunities for positive change.

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those whose lives have been lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief experienced by families, friends, and communities, and stand in solidarity with all those affected by substance use.

At PLEA, we support both youth and adults on their journeys toward stability, wellness, and recovery. We recognize that substance use impacts people from all walks of life, and that compassionate, non-judgmental support can play a critical role in helping individuals build healthier futures.

This day serves as a reminder that every life matters. By reducing stigma, increasing understanding, and ensuring access to support, we can help create stronger, safer, and more connected communities.

Together, we honour those we have lost, support those who are struggling, and reaffirm our commitment to hope, healing, and recovery.

We're honoured to be featured by CARF International in recognition of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. This thoughtful article highlights the importance of prevention, community collaboration, and keeping pace with the evolving risks facing children and youth. It also features reflections from Jen Graham, PLEA's Program Director for of the Street, on the work we're doing to help young people stay safe from exploitation.
