We extend our sincere thanks to Phil Mach for his dedicated service as President of the BC Association of Social Workers. His contributions to the profession and to this community have been deeply valued.

As we move forward, Vice President Vanessa Key Craig will serve as Acting President until the upcoming Annual General Meeting, where a new Executive will be elected. The Board and Association remain focused on continuity, relational practice, supporting the governance needs of the organization, and supporting social workers across British Columbia. There is a shared sense of care and steadiness as we continue this work together.

We remain dedicated to advancing and supporting the social work profession throughout the province, in partnership with our members and the communities we serve.

We are grateful to our members across British Columbia for your ongoing engagement, leadership, and care for the profession. It is an honour to continue this work together.

This session will focus on the art of super-vision: the ability to stand back and see one's practice through a new lens. We will dive into what super-vision is and isn't, how to prepare for the supervisory relationship, how to set boundaries and expectations, how to provide and receive feedback and the importance of integrating super-vision into your practice.

This session will focus on the art of super-vision: the ability to stand back and see one's practice through a new lens.

Celebrating National Volunteer Week 💙

At the BC Association of Social Workers, we know that the strength of our profession is rooted in community—and community is built by people who give their time, energy, and expertise in service of others.

This National Volunteer Week, we are proud to recognize and thank the incredible volunteers who help move our work forward every day.

To our Board of Directors
To our committee members, who lend their expertise to advance our priorities and strengthen our impact…
And to our Communities of Practice, who create spaces for connection, learning, and collective growth across the province…
Your contributions are deeply valued.

You are helping to shape the future of social work in British Columbia—strengthening our profession, advancing advocacy, and supporting meaningful connection among members.

We are so grateful for your commitment, your leadership, and your belief in this work.

Thank you for all that you do!
