Following the Cuban Revolution in 1959, on the basis of a planned economy, Cuba achieved free healthcare, housing, education, and became an example to the workers of the world. This year, the US significantly escalated their campaign to economically suffocate the island and attack the gains of the Revolution. Now, the Cuban masses are suffering in the most dire of conditions.

Join us on Thurs 29 Oct at 7pm to discuss how the Cuban masses rose up and freed themselves from the shackles of American imperialism and what our role as communists is in the defence of this great revolution today.

11 of our comrades were arrested and many more faced brutal police violence in London on Oct 10 for protesting a GENOCIDE. As of Sunday, they have all been RELEASED!

This attempt at repression is clear sign of weakness. As working people continue to mobilise, the ruling class has no choice but to resort to violence. But we will not be silenced! We must use our STRENGTH as a class to fight back against the violence inherent to the capitalist system!

All over the world, workers and young people mobilized for the International Day of Action for Palestine on October 10.

In Vancouver, comrades spoke to many people who were tired of writing to their MPs and have no trust in the imperialist Canadian government to stop arms sales to Israel. After three years of genocide, it’s more evident than ever that the people cannnot rely on the same the government who is actively increasing their military spending to stop the genocide in Gaza.

We must take this fight into our own hands. To fight for Palestinian liberation is to fight the warmongers at home. Down with imperialism!

On Saturday, comrades joined demonstrators at the No-AI Vancouver protest. The anger on the streets was palpable and justified!

The tech billionaires are pouring billions in investments and taxpayer subsidies into data centres that increase their profits. Meanwhile the working class faces job cuts, artists watch their work scrapped, and young people are locked out of a stable future.

Working people should have a democratic say in what happens in their communities. But this is not possible under a system driven by profit.

The only way out of this crisis is to overthrow the capitalists that determine what gets funded and what gets cut. DM us to get organized or visit marxist.ca/join ✊✊✊

As the capitalist crisis worsens, the thirst for answers grows. This year’s UBC fall campaign was a big success with great turnout to both our events!

Discussion reflected a new level of seriousness amongst students, with those who came to our ‘What Would Communist Canada Look Like’ event asking concrete questions on how to prepare for revolution and how to organise a party capable of overthrowing the current system.

UBC IMAGINE DAY 2026 - a tremendous success!

Students coming into UBC have known nothing but capitalist crisis. This fact was expressed by the crowds of students surrounding our table showing interest in our ideas. The youth are realising capitalism offers them no future and they want to fight back!

But to overthrow the system, we need to build a revolutionary party. Join us for our first event this semester on 15 Sept @ 6:30pm ESC 213 to learn how we do that! 🚩🚩🚩

In the midst of ongoing wars, climate disasters and AI looming over our heads, the future seems uncertain.

As communists, we know the reason the future is uncertain is because of capitalism. The only way to achieve a future free from war, exploitation and oppression is to overthrow capitalism!

Capitalism has plunged into one of the worst crises in its history. The world is on fire, the youth face recession-levels of unemployment, and the imperialist powers are arming themselves to the teeth. It has become clear to millions that what is good for the capitalists is awful for everyone else.

In the past year, mass movements and revolutions have gripped every corner of the world, from Kashmir to Minneapolis. As capitalism sinks deeper into crisis, events like these will only become more frequent—and more powerful.

Communists must prepare for these events today. At the third annual Vancouver School of Communism, we will study key revolutionary events in history and the lessons they can teach us for the movements of the future.

On July 26, the RCP attended a rally the against data centres being built in Vancouver. People were excited to see a communist presence and our signs quickly spread throughout the crowd!

Carney’s ‘AI for all’ is not an answer to the crisis the Canadian economy finds itself in. Carney has promised 250000 jobs, but has no way of backing these numbers up. In reality, these data centres are set to be built without a say from the communities in which they’re being proposed and only spell uncertainty for working class jobs!

How, when, and if technologies like AI are implemented should be up to the working class, and the decision should be made to serve what’s best for everyone— not what’s best for a few tech billionaires’ wallets.
