Reducing administrative burdens in health care takes more than one kind of expertise.

It takes people who can improve complex systems. And people who can help others understand, connect with and act on that work.

Bring strategy, creativity and strong communications skills to an important, high-profile area of our work. You’ll help shape how we communicate about reducing administrative burdens in health care, while developing strategies, creating content and collaborating with teams and partners across BC.

It’s a time to remember those who have lost their lives to toxic drug poisonings (or overdose), acknowledge the grief of those who loved them and take action to prevent further harm.

Join us for Beyond Survival: A Sepsis Symposium for Systems, Science and Recovery, a four-part virtual series running throughout September that explores how we can strengthen sepsis care across BC.

Presented by Health Quality BC, Critical Care BC, Emergency Care BC and Child Health BC, the series brings together clinicians, researchers, quality improvement leaders, patients and families to explore evidence, leading practices, lived experience and opportunities to improve outcomes.

Each session explores a different part of the sepsis care journey:

Explore the impact and burden of sepsis from patient, provincial and global perspectives, along with current initiatives and opportunities to strengthen care across the continuum.

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬 | 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀
Follow the patient journey from prehospital care through the emergency department, with a focus on early recognition and management, clinical guidelines, quality improvement and lived experience. The session will also profile the release of the updated BC Adult Sepsis Guidelines.

Look beyond the acute illness to survivorship, patient- and family-centred care, recovery after critical illness and emerging research shaping the future of sepsis prevention, treatment and recovery.

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟵 | 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
Explore the unique challenges of recognizing, treating and recovering from pediatric sepsis, including the latest evidence, emerging trends and provincial data.
